Covering essential topics such as employment legislation, employer responsibilities, tax obligations, and employee entitlements, this training equips participants with the foundational knowledge needed to understand payroll effectively and minimise business risks. Participants will explore key aspects of payroll, including starting and ending employment, minimum wage requirements, tax code deductions, ACC earners’ levy, rest and meal break requirements, income tax rates, gross earnings calculations, superannuation contributions (KiwiSaver), and distinguishing between contractors and employees.
